Rethinking my essay into the audio podcast was a little more challenging than I thought it was going to be because I was happy with my essay and I didn’t want to change it around. Once I got the podcast to work with my essay the task became easier and I was able to move forward. I ended up liking the result of the podcast I think it is a quick and effective way to get the main information from my essay in under 3 minutes. It took me a while to learn how to work the software but I used the videos from the UNE website and followed along which made it a whole lot easier to navigate. Drafting the podcast took the longest because I was happy with my essay and I got a little stuck because I didn’t want to change it but once I pushed past that I was able to rearrange it and pick out the most important information that I wanted to include into the podcast and figure out a way to effectively get the information across.
I liked the interview format of your podcast. I think that if you stuck to the narrative format, then it may have gotten boring and I would have lost interest eventually. But the change in voices kept me intrigued. I also like how you played music throughout the whole podcast, the background music was very pleasant and did not overpower the voices. I liked how you incorporated some personal experiences into your podcast; it made it more personable. One recommendation I have is to maybe elaborate more on your personal experiences than you did.
