The draft of my Reflective Learners was more about Ken Bain and Carol Dweck rather than being it about me. I added a lot of personal examples into the final draft which made it more personal and was able to focus more on myself and my learning styles with a hint of Bain and Dweck instead of the other way around. Usually for my rough draft I just start writing and see what happens, but for this one I did a bunch of pre-writing assignments to help get ideas going. This was helpful although when it came to writing the rough draft, I did not end up incorporating it into the draft. I am satisfied with the way my final draft came out because I think it is a good combination of personal experiences along with integrating Bain and Dweck’s ideas.
For the Reflective Learners essay, we used Bloom’s Taxonomy. First we had to do the active reading piece of reading Dweck and Bain which would fall under the remembering and understanding piece. Then we had to apply what we learned about learning styles to ourselves and analyze what type of learner we think we are. From there, we created our first draft. Once our first draft was created we evaluated it and made corrections and tweaked it which created our final draft. We also used the creating piece to do the podcast because we took the essay, and rearranged it and changed it to fit the podcast outline.
