I chose this image to represent nursing because nurses are like guardian angels. They help patients from the moment they arrive to the treatment facility, to the moment they leave. Nurses are the go between, between the patient and medicine. They are the there for the patient to help them overcome what they are going through. I chose this picture because I want to be a nurse that is always there for my patients like a guardian angel is always for individuals. I want to support them, and help them heal. I have had both good and bad experiences with nurses which helped me decide that I wanted to become one, and a good one. The connection a nurse makes with their patient is crucial and can make or break someones experience especially if they are going through a trauma.
This image really struck me because I have never seen anything like it. Right when I saw it, I could easily make the connection between the nurse and the angel. I also truly believe that a nurse, as well as other healthcare workers, can all be considered angels because they are here to do good for everyone and to heal those in need. I think that most people would also associate nurses as angels, especially those who have had many hospital visits or long hospital stays. This is because nurses are really the helping hand in those situations and can be someone that we have comfort in.
Within movies and tv shows, we usually see nurses as the good guys and we learn that they are here to help us. I think this picture portrays that in a very clear way because it proves that we believe the same about nurses in real life. I also believe this picture is a representative image that is universally acceptable because everyone is able to understand it, even those in other cultures.
