NL Reflection Modules 1&2

Module 1 talked about testing and remediation skills. In this module it talked about test taking strategies, study habits, and how to prepare for exams. I have always struggled with test taking so for me this module was really helpful. I learned some new ways to take exams and how to hone in on pertinent information in the question and to eliminate answers that do not pertain to the asked question. This module will help me specifically in nursing because we have a benchmark grade we have to get in order to pass our exams and our classes. These new skills learned from module 1 will hopefully help me reach and surpass those benchmark grades in order for me to excel in the classes I am taking and help me learn as much as I can along the way.

Module 2 talked about the nursing concepts and ideas that are important to the profession such as patient centered care, interprofessionalism, safety, evidence based practice, education, and quality of care. This module is important because we are starting clinicals this semester and need to know how to work with others on our floor to make sure the patient has the best care possible. Without working with others, the patient will not receive the best care they can. Taking the teachings from this module will make sure we are professional, while still being someone the patient feels comfortable talking to.
